The enemy knows how to twist the truth. One of his favorite lies is this: “If God was really with you, you wouldn’t be struggling.”And let’s be honest—that one hits hard when you’re in the middle of the fire.
You start wondering...Why am I going through this? Why isn’t God stopping it?Did I do something wrong?Has He left me?
But here’s the truth: faith never promised a fire-free life. Faith promises God’s presence in the fire.
Daniel had faith, and he still ended up in a lion’s den.Paul had faith, and he still got shipwrecked.Jesus was literally God in the flesh, and He still got nailed to a cross.
If faith was about avoiding pain, the Bible would look very different. But it’s not. Faith isn’t about escaping struggle. It’s about standing firm when struggle finds you.
Your battle doesn’t mean God is absent. It means your faith is being tested, refined, and forged like gold in fire.
James 1:2-4 tells us to count it joy when we face trials—not because we enjoy suffering, but because trials produce endurance. And endurance produces maturity. In other words, the very thing that feels like it’s breaking you may be the thing that’s building you.
So don’t fall for the lie.God hasn’t left you. He’s walking with you through every single flame.
Faith doesn’t prevent the fire—it proves you in it!
