Everything we have—our time, skills, and resources—comes from God. Stewardship is not just about giving money; it’s about managing every area of life for His glory. When we faithfully steward what He has entrusted to us, we experience His provision, purpose, and blessing.
📖 1 Corinthians 4:2 – "Moreover, it is required of stewards that they be found faithful."
What Is Biblical Stewardship?
Stewardship means recognizing that everything belongs to God, and we are simply managers of His resources. It involves:
Time – Using our days wisely for God’s purposes
Talents – Developing and using our gifts to serve others
Treasure – Managing finances and possessions with integrity and generosity
📖 Psalm 24:1 – "The earth is the Lord’s and the fullness thereof, the world and those who dwell therein."
Stewarding Time for God’s Glory
Time is one of our most valuable resources. God calls us to use it wisely and prioritize what matters most.
📖 Ephesians 5:15-16 – "Look carefully then how you walk, not as unwise but as wise, making the best use of the time, because the days are evil."
How to steward your time:
Start your day with prayer and Scripture
Set priorities that align with God’s will
Avoid distractions that pull you away from your purpose
Serve others and invest in Kingdom work
Using Your Talents for God
God has given each of us unique skills and abilities. Stewardship means using these gifts to glorify Him and bless others.
📖 1 Peter 4:10 – "As each has received a gift, use it to serve one another, as good stewards of God’s varied grace."
How to steward your talents:
Identify your God-given gifts and strengths
Develop your skills through practice and learning
Use your talents in ministry, work, and daily life
Encourage and equip others to grow in their gifts
Managing Finances with Integrity
Our money and possessions are also part of stewardship. God calls us to be wise, generous, and faithful with what He provides.
📖 Proverbs 3:9 – "Honor the Lord with your wealth and with the firstfruits of all your produce."
How to steward your finances:
Give generously to the church and those in need
Save and budget wisely
Avoid unnecessary debt and live within your means
Trust God as your provider, not material wealth
📖 2 Corinthians 9:7 – "Each one must give as he has decided in his heart, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver."
Signs of a Faithful Steward
Prioritizes God’s Kingdom in time, talents, and finances
Lives with contentment and generosity
Uses every resource for God’s glory
Manages responsibilities with wisdom and diligence
📖 Colossians 3:23 – "Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord and not for men."

Pray for wisdom – Ask God to help you manage all He has given you
